Jenny's Career

1998-Present:Managing Director, Northern Highland Travel

Overseen major structural change in the company on a financial and operational base, including relocation to Maitland. Gone from small family partnership to company employing 22 people. Jenny's main areas of responsibilities are financial management of a $5 million budget, development and implementation of a marketing plan, overseas all promotional activities, including marketing (group presentations, print and web).

1998-1999: Manager, Walcha Motel

20 unit motel with 50 seat restaurant. Under my management, we were finalists in the Big Sky Country Tourism Awards for Superior Accommodation, and the Northern Inland Excellence in Business Awards. Also played a major role in selling the motel.

1997-98: Senior Adviser & Media Adviser to Federal Member for Fraser

Wrote speeches and Policy for Federal Member of Parliament. Managed his constituent representation and meetings with other local VIPs. Organised a meeting of community leaders on reconciliation at Parliament House in 1997.

1993-1997: Policy Officer - Department of Immigration & Multicultural Affairs Worked in Women's Issues, Strategic Planning, Social Justice Coordination.

1992: Lifestyle Trainer and Weight Loss Counsellor - Jenny Craig Weight Loss Centre

1987-1992: Part time Sales - Diadem Jewellers and Angus & Coote Jewellers

A retail position held when Jenny was Studying.
